Club Registration: 2026/27 Season
The 2026/27 season begins in August 2026 after the Club Open day (details to be confirmed).
NEW MEMBERS
Kinross Hockey Club welcomes players age 7+ For membership enquiries contact us and register via this Spond link We use the Spond app to organise all training sessions, matches and tournaments. Download Spond from apple store or google play.
CURRENT MEMBERS
Please review the accuracy of your current details on your Spond profile and amend if necessary (contact details, membership category, medical details, photo consent) if you wish to continue playing hockey with us. Contact us if you wish to discontinue membership at any time.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Full details of the membership types for this coming season are as follows:
Adult: Age 18+ on 1st Jan 2027 and not involved in any club support (e.g. coaching/umpiring)
U18/ Student: Age 14-17 on 1st Jan 2027 or 18+ and in further education (e.g. University, College)
Adult Player & Coach/Umpire: Age 18+ and regularly coaching and/or umpiring
U14: Age 13 years or younger on 1st Jan 2027
Summer only: players who can only play summer hockey during the off-season.
Trialist: new players ]wishing to give hockey a go at the club. If they wish to continue after a few sessions they must change their membership to the membership types above.
Club Support: Non-players involved in coaching, umpiring or volunteering.
CLUB FEES
Kinross Hockey Club uses Spond for all payments. Subs are paid through the app and cover match fees, tournaments and indoor hockey. They do not include Scottish Hockey Union registration, which players/guardians complete separately (details below).
At the start of the season (or when you register), you’ll receive a Spond payment request. You can pay in full or monthly, with instalments running until Feb 2027. A 2.5% + 20p transaction fee applies to all payments and is paid by the player.

* Payment of all membership subs should be completed by February 2027. The example shown in the table is for 6 payments from August 2026 (season start). If players join between August 2026 and December 2026 their monthly fees will be amended to end in February 2027. Any player joining after 1st January will be required to pay one instalment.

SCOTTISH HOCKEY UNION (SHU) MEMBERSHIP
Existing SHU members will receive an email inviting you to renew your membership see instructions below (1). If you are a new member or have not previously registered, then you need to sign up- see instructions below (2).
SHU membership is separate to being a member of Kinross Hockey Club but is vital for insurance purposes and being able to play. Fees are to be paid separately for every member whether player or non-player. For information about membership and the benefits see Become a Member - Scottish Hockey.
1. RENEWING Follow the link in the email that should be sent to your inbox. This should take you to the Sport 80 login page for the SHU. Enter your details and select the correct level of membership (see below 3. for details) Chose auto renew to avoid manually renewing each year. If you can't find the email or aren't sure if you have SHU membership, follow process below in 2.
2. NEW MEMBERS If you have not previously registered with Scottish Hockey, please complete the registration process here. Tutorials on how to sign up and use the platform can be found here (see 'individual membership'). On signing up select Kinross Hockey Club as your club, and several of the club committee can see that you have joined online so we can keep our records of membership up to date. If you are unsure whether you have previously signed up with Scottish Hockey, get in touch (kinrosshockey@gmail.com). Guardians of players must register them individually for the season.
3. To choose the correct level of membership see information here. Please note U18s playing senior hockey need U18 category rather than Youth category. Non-players who volunteer need to select Club Support membership.

Adult Applicants
By rolling over your registration on Spond and paying your subs:
1. You are also consenting to being bound by the Code of Conduct and the decisions of the management committee.
2. You are also consenting to the data protection policy.
3. Photo permission can be amended via your Spond Profile – please keep this up to date.
Parents of Junior Applicants
By rolling over your registration on Spond and paying your subs:
1. You consent to your child being bound by the Code of Conduct and the decisions of the management committee.
2. You also roll over your consent to the data protection policy, and give consent that your child may receive medical treatment as required during the course of games and training as specified in the medical information on the player’s Spond profile.
3. You acknowledge that Kinross Hockey Club is not responsible for providing adult supervision for your child except for formal junior hockey coaching, matches or competition.
4. Photo permission will also roll over unless you amend this on the player’s Spond profile.
